Flakes and Fables began as a shared family dream, sparked by a passion for crafting delightful treats and a love for the enchantment of classic stories. What started as a brainstorm around the kitchen table quickly blossomed into a heartfelt mission: to build a special place for our community.
The journey to bring Flakes and Fables to life was a whirlwind of dedication. Four intense months were poured into every detail – from late nights spent painting and decorating our whimsical space, to honing the arts of baking and coffee making under the guidance of our amazing mentors. It was a labor of love, fueled by the anticipation of finally opening our doors to you.
The soul of our bakery is captured in its name. The “Flakes” represent our signature, buttery pastries – from our beloved puff empanadas and delicate croissants to other handcrafted delights. The “Fables” are woven into the very fabric of our shop, from the classic tales adorning our murals and the playful characters in our paintings, to the collection of storybooks waiting to be shared.
Having called Oviedo home for eight wonderful years, we are incredibly proud and genuinely thrilled to now be a part of this vibrant community’s family of businesses.
